Bank of Georgia appoints an Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer

JSC Bank of Georgia (the “Bank”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Oliver as an Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer. He will report to Irakli Gilauri, Chief Executive Officer, and will work with Macca Ekizashvili, Head of IR and the Bank’s management team to raise the Bank’s investor profile following the anticipated premium listing of Bank of Georgia Holdings plc on the London Stock Exchange.

Mr. Oliver has worked in the UK banking industry for over 25 years in a number of management and senior executive positions in various retail banking, commercial banking and head office roles. For the last 12 years he has been Director of Investor Relations for Lloyds Banking Group and its predecessor companies, and in 2009 he was voted ‘Best Investor Relations Officer in the FTSE 100’ in the UK’s Investor Relations Society awards.

Irakli Gilauri commented: “I am delighted Michael has decided to join Bank of Georgia after a successful career in the UK banking industry. His experience dealing with investors, both in the UK and elsewhere around the world, is extremely relevant and important to Bank of Georgia as we seek to leverage our imminent UK premium listing.”
