TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 1 December 2011 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

154,401 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 246.00 pence per share

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 5,465,883 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 496,610,123 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
