TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 23 March 2010 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

1,656 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 246.00p per share;
2,991 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 266.00p per share; and2,991 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 266.00p per share; and
19,130 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00p pence per share. 19,130 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00p pence per share.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 6,421,262 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 495,654,744 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
