TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 4 March 2010 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

5,329 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 161.77 pence per share; and
74,262 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00 pence per share 74,262 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00 pence per share

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 6,881,572 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 495,194,434 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
