TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 9 March 2011 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

47,404 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00 pence per share.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 5,810,747 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 496,265,259 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
