UPDATE ON ISSUED SHARE CAPITAL

Following issues of shares resulting from recent exercises of share options, the
issued share capital of Amlin plc is now 530,393,955 Ordinary Shares of 25p
each, of which 127,805,073 shares (being those issued in the recent rights
issue) do not rank for the final dividend in respect of 2005. Recently issued
shares in respect of share options are included within current block listings
granted by the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange.
