Completion of Acquisition of Kisenge Limited

Armadale, the AIM quoted investment company focused on natural resource projects in Africa, is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Kisenge Limited (‘Kisenge’), which was announced on 1 September 2014.

Kisenge holds direct rights to 80% of the Mpokoto Gold Project (‘Mpokoto’ or ‘the Project’) as well as the exploration rights to a significant area in the Katanga Province in the south of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where Mpokoto is situated. The acquisition gives the Company direct ownership over its flagship project, in addition to providing Armadale with the rights to 32 additional mineral exploration licences, which are prospective for other minerals including gold, manganese and diamonds.

Justin Lewis, Director of Armadale, said: “We are pleased to have completed the acquisition of Kisenge which represents a further significant step for Armadale and the development of the Mpokoto Gold Project. As well as securing direct ownership over Mpokoto, Kisenge brings a significant portfolio of exploration licences in the south west of the Katanga Province in the DRC, which historically have been prospective for a number of minerals, including gold, diamonds and manganese.

“The Directors look forward to the continued rapid development of the Mpokoto Project following the completion of a successful drilling programme, including the announcement in the coming weeks of an updated and increased JORC mineral resource, an updated and expanded scoping study together with the grant of mining licence.”

As announced on 1 September 2014, Armadale intends to issue 65 million ordinary shares in the capital of the Company to certain key employees of Kisenge at par value. The Company is finalising the terms of such issue and a further announcement will be made in due course.
