Whitbread is a British multinational hotel and restaurant company, listed on the London Stock Exchange and a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index under the ticker WTB.
The company was founded by Samuel Whitbread in 1742 in London, England. Originally a brewery, Whitbread had become the world's largest by the 1780s.
Over the years, Whitbread has diversified its operations and now includes renowned brands like Premier Inn, Brewers Fayre, and Table Table. Its largest division is currently Premier Inn, which is the largest hotel brand in the UK with over 785 hotels and 72,000 rooms.
