West  175  Media  Group Inc ('West 175' or the 'Company') the lifestyle  media
group  listed on AIM, announces that Jeffrey Green has been appointed  to  the
Board as a non-executive Director with immediate effect.

Mr.  Green,  a  New  Zealander,  aged 42, has  extensive  corporate  financial
experience in New Zealand and Australia.

He  has  since  1997  up  until December 1999, been a Director  of  the  Maori
Development  Corporation, including MDC Investment  Holding  Ltd  ('MDC')  and
Tainui Group Holdings Ltd ('TGHL').

Initially  employed by Sir Robert Mahuta, Mr. Green was appointed  as  Special
Projects Manager and then as the CEO of TGHL he was responsible for the  total
operation of Tainui's $250m assets under management.  He has also served as  a
Director  on  a number of private companies which MDC has investments  in,  as
well  as  Directorships in the media, telecoms, sports,  hotels  and  property

Geographically, West 175's activities extend from the United States, to the UK
and  New  Zealand,  spanning  direct mail, TV production,  events  management,
publishing  and  the internet.  In New Zealand, West 175's  interests  combine
regional  television  networks, radio stations, and the world's  fifth  oldest
internet company.

Commenting,  Rohan  Courtney, Chairman of West 175 said:   'Jeff  becomes  our
fourth  non-executive  Director.  We are delighted to add  someone  as  highly
regarded  in the New Zealand market: with such extensive contacts he will  add
substantial  value  to  the Company.  Already, Jeff has been  instrumental  in
introducing  a  major strategic acquisition to West 175:  Actrix,  the  oldest
Internet  Service Provider in New Zealand and fifth oldest ISP in  the  world.
Actrix is profitable, cash positive, has an independent backbone, and has over
10,000 subscribers, of which over 30 per cent are businesses.'

John  McEwen, Chief Executive of West 175 said:  'In New Zealand there  exists
terrific  scope  to  combine lifestyle programming and  online  merchandising,
which  will begin to be realised as we integrate internet provision  into  our
television package through the country.'

Prior to joining MDC, Jeff held a number of senior roles with Poutama Trust in
Wellington, where he gained experience in investment banking and as  Financial
Controller.  Prior to his five years with the Trust, Jeff spent two  years  in
senior  operational roles with the New Zealand Post, including  responsibility
for  the financial services team.  He was involved with the implementation  of
EFT-POS in New Zealand while working for Databank (now EDS).

Mr.  Green  also  has  a  strong sporting pedigree,  with  extensive  coaching
experience in basketball.  This includes coaching appointments in the  US  and
New Zealand, including Assistant Coach of the 'Tall Blacks', Head Coach of the
Junior Tall Blacks and his current role as the Head Coach of the Waikato Men's
Basketball team.  He is a prior winner of the Wellington Sports Coach  of  the
Year  and  Wellington Sports Personality of the Year, and had a  radio  sports
show for five years in Wellington.

He is married with 5 children.
