Organisational changes

Leeds United PLC
07 March 2003

Leeds United plc ('Leeds United' or 'the Company')

Board and organisational changes

Following a detailed review of the organisation and structure of Leeds United,
the Board has agreed to a number of changes which will result in a substantial
reduction in the non-football cost base of the Company, giving annualised cost
savings of approximately £3 million. These changes, which have been identified,
will be implemented as soon as practicable. They will not have a material impact
in the current financial year but will be significant for the financial year
commencing 1 July 2003.

In addition, the Board has decided to strengthen the executive management team
with the appointment of a Managing Director for Leeds United. A process is
underway to identify a suitable candidate and a further announcement will be
made when appropriate.

David Spencer, Operations Director, has left Leeds United with immediate effect
and the Board wishes to thank him for his contribution over the last eight
years.

Peter Ridsdale, Chairman of Leeds United, commented:

'At last November's AGM, I committed on behalf of the Board, to reorganise both
the executive and non-executive management team to ensure that the Company had
the right strengths and skills.

'During January this year, we announced the appointment of two new non-executive
directors (Neil Holloway and John McKenzie) to the Board. John McKenzie has
already taken on responsibility for our Far East strategy and has now committed
to spend one day a week to be a regular contact point between the executive
management team and the non- executive directors.

'With the combination of overhead savings and the planned strengthening of the
management team, we believe that Leeds United will be better positioned to deal
with the considerable challenges currently facing the football sector and to
help restore its financial performance.'
