              Moira Black CBE appointed as Non-Executive Director

D1 Oils plc (D1), the UK-based global producer of biodiesel, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Moira Black CBE as a Non-Executive Director of the
Company.

Moira Black has had an active and distinguished career in accountancy and public
services, including non-executive roles in healthcare and defence, and board
memberships of a number of regulatory bodies.

Following her graduation from Somerville College, Oxford, in 1971, she qualified
as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse. She was admitted to the
partnership in 1984 as the first female partner in the London office. She
withdrew from the partnership in 1993 on her appointment as Chairman of
Riverside Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

She is currently Chairman of The North West London Hospitals NHS Trust, a
Non-Executive Director of Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), the procurement
and support organisation within the UK Ministry of Defence, Chairman of the DE&S
Audit Committee; an independent Director of The Payments Council; and a Member
of the General Optical Council and its Honorary Treasurer. She has also held the
positions of Non-Executive Director of the Financial Services Authority,
Chairman of Consumer Communications for England and Chairman of the National
Lottery Commission.

Moira was appointed CBE in 1998 for services to consumers and to healthcare.

Commenting on the appointment, Lord Oxburgh of Liverpool, Chairman of D1 Oils
plc said:

'We are delighted that Moira Black has agreed to join our Board. Moira's strong
financial background and wide experience of both the public and private sectors
will be a very valuable addition to our Board.'

In addition to the above mentioned directorships, the following information is
provided in accordance with paragraph 17 and schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules:

Over the past five years, Moira Black, aged 57, has been a Non-Executive
Director of the Financial Services Authority (1998-2004) and Chairman of the FSA
Pension Plan Trustee Limited (1999-2003); a Trustee of the Royal Botanic
Gardens, Kew, (1997-2003) and Chairman of Kew Enterprises Ltd (2001-2003);
Non-Executive Director of Octagon Healthcare Ltd and Octagon Healthcare Holdings
(Norwich) Ltd (both 1998-2007); Non-Executive Director of Octagon Healthcare
Group Ltd and Octagon Healthcare Funding plc (both 2005-2007); and Director and
member of the Executive Committee of the Foundation for Management Education.

There are no further disclosures required to be made pursuant to paragraph 17
and schedule 2 (g) of the AIM Rules.
