APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Universal Salvage plc ('Universal'), the vehicle salvage and auction services
group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Nigel Stead as a
non-executive director to the Board with effect from 1 March 2006.
Nigel, aged 56, has over thirty years experience in the automotive industry,
across the manufacturing, retail and leasing & fleet management sectors. Since
2000, he has been managing director of Lloyds TSB Autolease, a leading fleet
management and funding specialist in the UK which is part of Lloyds TSB Bank
plc. Nigel is also a director of the British Vehicle and Rental Leasing
Association, an industry trade association. Prior to joining Lloyds TSB
Autolease, Nigel was managing director at Velo Group, the vehicle leasing and
fleet management specialist, then owned by Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.
Commenting on the appointment, Alexander Foster, Chairman of Universal,
