Occidental Petrl.

Re Secondary Listing

Occidental Petroleum Corp
20 June 2003

For Immediate Release: 20 June 2003

Occidental Petroleum Corporation
(organised under the laws of Delaware in the United States of America)

Cancellation of Secondary Listing of Common Stock on The London Stock Exchange

Occidental Petroleum Corporation is cancelling its secondary listing of common
stock on the London Stock Exchange. Occidental management made the decision due
to relatively low volume of stock traded on the London Stock Exchange and the
on-going costs and time constraints involved in complying with the UK Listing
Rules.

Accordingly, Occidental has requested the UK Listing Authority to remove it from
the Official List and for the London Stock Exchange to cancel admission to
trading, with effect from 08:00am on Monday, 21st July 2003. Occidental has
maintained a secondary listing of its common stock on the London Stock Exchange
since 27 July 1987.

The common stock will continue to be listed on Occidental's primary exchange,
the New York Stock Exchange, providing on-going liquidity to Occidental
shareholders.
