Taylor Nelson Sofres strengthens position in mystery shopping

Taylor Nelson Sofres, one of the world's leading market information
companies, announces that it has acquired mystery shopping and
customer research company, WHF (Southern) Ltd (WHF).

WHF, the largest independent mystery shopper specialist in the UK,
conducts projects for a wide range of companies operating in many
sectors, including transport, automotive, hospitality and retail.  It
has a database of over 15,000 individuals that act as assessors,
allowing it to match the profile of its clients  customer base and is
renowned for its ability to handle complex and multifaceted projects.
It is a specialist in the use of hidden cameras to monitor levels of
customer service and its technology in this area is highly advanced.

With 19 full-time employees, WHF s 1998 turnover was £1.4 million.
Net assets at 31 December 1998 were £255,727.  The current management
