("Totally" or "the Company")

Launch of new business: Totally Healthcare

Totally plc (AIM: TLY), the provider of a range of services to the healthcare sector in the UK, is delighted to announce the launch of Totally Healthcare Limited ("Totally Healthcare"), a specialist business targeting the market for insourcing of healthcare services in the UK and Ireland. Totally Healthcare has been set up as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Totally plc.

Totally Healthcare is focused on insourcing, where hospitals sub-contract medical services / procedures to providers who use the host hospitals' premises and equipment for service delivery, taking advantage of spare capacity typically during weekends and bank holidays. The service makes for efficient use of hospital infrastructure and addresses a key issue in the UK healthcare industry: long patient waiting lists. Totally Healthcare will provide bespoke, high quality insourcing solutions, bringing its own consultants and nursing teams to work across specialties such as endoscopy, ophthalmology, ear nose and throat (ENT), orthopaedics and urology with activities including diagnostics, day-case surgery and outpatient activity.

Operating in a fragmented and developing market segment, currently estimated by management to be valued at £125m-£150m per annum, Totally Healthcare aims to become the UK and Ireland's insourcing market leader by providing high quality insourcing solutions to hospitals and quality care to patients.

To date, Totally Healthcare has conducted a pilot scheme in the Republic of Ireland, where consultants, with supporting nursing teams, were provided from the UK.  Patients were treated at their local hospital with numerous procedures performed over a series of weekends which included colonoscopy, gastroscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy. All of the patient feedback rated the care they received to be "very good" or "excellent".

Totally Healthcare will be led by Marie Lee, Managing Director, along with experienced clinicians including Dr Graham Turner, Medical Advisor, and Kaye Drew, Head of Nursing. Totally Healthcare's management team have a wealth of experience in delivering high quality insourcing services, focused on key clinical specialties, to hospitals in the UK and Ireland helping to reduce waiting times for patients. Totally Healthcare sits within the framework of Totally plc which provides the organisation with Board level assurance as well as clinical and business support from Totally's corporate team, including: business development, clinical governance, corporate assurance, finance, IT, HR and recruitment.

Wendy Lawrence, CEO of Totally, said:

"We are delighted to officially announce the launch of Totally Healthcare. The Group's directors have identified long waiting lists as a fundamental issue facing the UK and Ireland's healthcare sector and we believe that Totally Healthcare is well placed to address this issue. By building upon the existing relationships of the Group and its subsidiaries we are confident we can make a significant impact in the fragmented insourcing market, with the ultimate aim of becoming the market leader.

"Long patient waiting lists can impact care quality and cause hospitals operational and / or financial problems. In many cases, hospitals are unable to reduce their waiting lists effectively without external support. With nearly 4.5m NHS patients currently on waiting lists in England alone and continuing increasing demand for NHS services, waiting times and waiting lists are not likely to decline without considerable effort. We see a significant opportunity to benefit patients and hospitals alike, across the UK and Ireland.

"The management team at Totally Healthcare boasts not only a wealth of experience in insourcing specifically, but also in broader healthcare and business development. Clearly, we plan to use Totally's current position as a leading healthcare provider across England and use our existing strong relationships with NHS commissioners and our central corporate teams to aid Totally Healthcare's growth.

"We are encouraged by the positive feedback that we have received to date from the pilot scheme in the Republic of Ireland and are also extremely pleased to announce that Totally Healthcare has secured a new contract in Ulster to deliver endoscopy procedures, a valuable starting block from which the business can grow. We look forward to notifying the market of further successes in due course.

"The Group has a proven track record of aligning new businesses with the Company, as demonstrated by the acquisitions of Vocare and Greenbrook Healthcare, and we fully intend to drive Totally Healthcare's growth and to capitalise on the opportunities within the insourcing market in the UK and Ireland."
