EXTERNAL APPOINTMENT

Pursuant to the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rule 9.6.14(2) the Company notifies the market that Jim Pettigrew, the Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director to Rathbone Brothers Plc and of its main subsidiary, Rathbone Investment Management Limited with effect from 6 March 2017.  Jim has also been appointed as a member of the Rathbone Brothers Plc Audit, Remuneration, Risk and Nomination Committees.  

There are no additional matters requiring disclosure under Rule 9.6.13 of the UK Listing Rules.
