TT ELECTRONICS PLC
NEW CONTRACT SUCCESS
TT electronics plc is pleased to announce its success in winning a contract
worth £4.2 million to supply cable for the Kentish Flats wind farm. This is the
third contract won for cable for the United Kingdom offshore wind farms and
maintains TT electronics' record of 100% success in winning such contracts.
Delivery of the finished cable is expected by the end of 2004.
Commenting on the new contract, Executive Chairman, John Newman said 'We have
already supplied cables for the first two offshore wind farms to be constructed
in the United Kingdom. We are therefore delighted to have won our third
successive major contract in this sector which represents a relatively new
market for our speciality cables. At the same time, our electronics businesses
are continuing to enjoy the improvement in order intake I referred to in my
recent statement to shareholders.'
