Trustpilot Announces Appointment of Marcus Roy as Chief Financial Officer

LONDON, 24 March 2026 - Trustpilot Plc ("Trustpilot"), the world's largest open customer feedback platform, is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcus Roy as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) following a thorough and wide-ranging search.

Marcus will join the Board of Directors as an Executive Director on 14 September 2026 and succeed Hanno Damm, who, as previously announced, will be stepping down after over a decade with the company. Hanno will step-down from the Board on 14 September 2026 but will remain with the business until October 2026 to ensure a seamless transition.

Marcus joins Trustpilot from The Economist Group, where he has served as Group CFO since 2021. In that capacity, he has held executive responsibility for the financial strategy and operations of one of the world's most respected global media brands. His tenure has spanned a period of significant transformation, as The Economist Group has accelerated its shift to a digital-first, subscription-led model, growing its subscriber base and strengthening its international reach, while simultaneously building the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) into a leading global B2B data and analytics business.

A Deloitte-trained Chartered Accountant, Marcus brings over 20 years of financial leadership experience across listed and large-scale private businesses. Prior to The Economist Group, he served as Group Financial Controller at Associated British Foods Plc, a FTSE 100 multinational, where he was responsible for group-wide financial reporting and controls. Before that, he spent over fourteen years in a series of progressively senior finance roles at Dixons Carphone Plc and Carphone Warehouse Plc, developing deep expertise in consumer-facing, technology-driven businesses at scale.

Adrian Blair, Chief Executive Officer, commented:
"I am delighted to welcome Marcus to the Trustpilot leadership team. His proven experience scaling a subscription and data business at The Economist while maintaining strong financial discipline will be hugely valuable as we scale Trustpilot into the vast market opportunity ahead. Marcus brings not only exceptional financial expertise, but international and listed-company experience alongside the strategic perspective to help us deliver sustained value for our shareholders.

"At the same time, on behalf of everyone at Trustpilot, I want to extend my profound gratitude to Hanno. He has been far more than an excellent CFO - he has been a deeply valued colleague and a mentor to many across the organisation. He joined Trustpilot as a fast-growing start-up and leaves it as a profitable, publicly listed business with global scale. We are enormously grateful for his commitment and for his dedication to ensuring a smooth and successful transition for his successor, and we wish him every success in what comes next."

Hanno Damm commented: "It has been a privilege to serve as Trustpilot's CFO for what will be almost 11 years in October. I am proud to have played a central role in scaling the business - from securing growth financing through the Series E funding, to leading our IPO in 2021, and into the profitable, global-scale, open customer feedback platform it is today.

"In Marcus, the Board has found a natural successor and I look forward to welcoming him and to handing over a business in great shape, with a strong team and a clear growth path."

Marcus Roy commented:
"I am excited to be joining Trustpilot at this stage in its journey. The business has built a remarkable platform that sits at the very heart of how consumers and businesses establish and communicate trust, and one that has tremendous potential still ahead of it. I look forward to working with Adrian, the Board and the entire team to build on the exceptional foundations that Hanno has established, and to deliver strong, sustained returns for our shareholders and continued value for people and businesses."
