                   Teddy Sheringham Joins Tottenham Hotspur

                           Under Two Year Contract



Tottenham Hotspur plc is pleased to announce that agreement has been reached
with Teddy Sheringham for the transfer of his registration to Tottenham
Hotspur Football Club under a two year contract.



Teddy Sheringham first moved to Tottenham Hotspur in August 1992 where he made
166 League appearances and scored 75 League goals.  He moved to Manchester
United in June 1997 where he played in 155 games, scored 46 goals and
collected both domestic and international honours.  He has 40 England caps and
at the end of the 2000/2001 season was voted Player of the Year by both the
PFA and the Football Writers' Association.
