                 Appointment of Paul Viner as Finance Director


The Board of Tottenham Hotspur plc ('the Company') announces the appointment of
Paul Viner as Finance Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Paul Viner, 32, is a Chartered Accountant and joined the Company as a Financial
Accountant in 1996. He previously worked for MGR, a London based accountancy
practise specialising in media and entertainment.  He was promoted to Group
Financial Controller in 1999 and following Board changes in October 2001 he was
appointed Finance Director Designate and Company Secretary.  Paul holds a BA
(Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance.
