Sub: Divestment of entire stake held in Jamshedpur Football and Sporting Private Limited, wholly owned subsidiary

 

This is further to our disclosure dated August 14, 2026, on the abovementioned subject wherein Tata Steel Limited ('Company') had announced the execution of Share Purchase Agreement ('SPA') for sale of 100% shareholding in Jamshedpur Football and Sporting Private Limited ('JFSPL') to Churchill Brothers Sports Club Private Limited ('Churchill'), subject to satisfaction of certain conditions precedent, including receipt of necessary approvals from the All-India Football Federation.

 

This is to inform you that, the Company has today i.e. on August 31, 2026 completed the above transaction in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SPA. Accordingly, JFSPL has ceased to be a subsidiary of the Company.

 

At the same time, Tata Steel remains firmly committed to its long legacy of developing grassroot sports, expanding access to sports and strengthening India's sporting ecosystem. It will invest further in enhancing our sporting infrastructure at the Tata Football Academy, 150 of whose cadets have represented the national team over the years. The Company will also further modernise and build capability of our youth system, including Tata Steel Foundation's football training centres which have produced the majority of the players in Jharkhand's U-14 and U-16 boys' teams. Tata Steel's legacy in sports goes well beyond football and is spread across 19 disciplines. The Company runs 4 additional world-class sporting academies focused on archery, hockey, sport climbing, and rowing. The Tata Archery Academy, India's premier archery institution counts 8 Olympians among its alumni. The Naval Tata Hockey Academy provides elite coaching and high-performance training, nutrition and mental conditioning across 3 regional development and 32 grassroots centres. Tata Steel Chess India, a rapid and
blitz tournament held in Kolkata, is the only such tournament in Asia, and is part of the Grand Chess Tour, attracting World Champions.
