Rio Tinto announces that Anne Lauvergeon, Non-executive Director of Rio Tinto plc and Rio Tinto Limited, was appointed as a director of Koç Holding A.Ş. with effect from 5 April 2016. Anne will step down as a director of Airbus Group SE at the end of April 2016.

This announcement is made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.14R
