This notification is made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.14 (2).

Oliver Corbett, a non-executive director of Rathbone Brothers Plc ("Rathbones"), will today, subject to regulatory consent, join the board of Close Brothers Group plc, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange, as an independent non-executive director. Accordingly it has been agreed that also today, Oliver will step down from the Rathbones board and that James Dean (who joined the board on 1 November 2013) will, in accordance with Rathbones' succession plan, succeed Oliver as Chairman of the audit committee.

Mark Nicholls, Chairman of Rathbones said "Oliver has been a director of Rathbones since March 2006 and as such was approaching the end of his nine year tenure as an independent director.
