Polar Capital Technology Trust Plc (the 'Company') announces that today, 6
February 2006, it issued 5,752,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at
258.75 p per share representing 4.28% of the current ordinary shares in issue.

Authority was granted by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 22
July 2005 for the Company to allot and issue for cash a maximum of £1,438,039
being 5,752,156 shares representing 5% of the then issued share capital.
Therefore, after this issue there remains a further 2,156 shares which may be
issued under this authority.

The total number of shares in issue following this allotment is 139,990,821.
