Mothercare plc announces that, in accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it has been advised by Tameside MBS that the Greater Manchester Pension Fund has increased its shareholding in Mothercare plc and in so doing has crossed the notifiable threshold.

The Greater Manchester Pension Fund, which is managed by UBS Global Asset Management, now holds 3,000,551 shares, equivalent to 3.38% of Mothercare's total voting rights.
