Mothercare plc announces that Allianz Global Investors Europe GmbH has informed the Company of an increase in its direct interest in ordinary shares of Mothercare plc.

Allianz Global Investors now has a direct interest in 4,640,587 Mothercare ordinary shares, equivalent to 5.22% of Mothercare's total voting rights.
