                           Purchase of Own Securities

Man Group plc announces that on 8 June 2007 it purchased for cancellation
2,000,000 of its ordinary shares at a price of 562.85 pence per ordinary share.

Since the start of the financial year on 1 April 2007, Man has repurchased
5,864,000 ordinary shares at a total cost of £33.8 million, giving an average
repurchase cost of 576.70 pence per ordinary share.
