On 31 May 2012, Legal & General Group Plc (the "Company") received notification that Gareth Hoskin, a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility, sold the following ordinary shares of 2.5p each in the Company, in London:

(i)         45,293 ordinary shares on 30 May 2012 at an average price of 110.1 pence per share; and

(ii)         134,898 ordinary shares on 31 May 2012 at an average price of 110.5 pence per share.
