The  board  of  Hiscox Plc has been notified that Mr Robert  Hiscox  has
today  purchased 200,000 ordinary shares at a price of  86p  per  share.
Following  this purchase his total beneficially shareholding is 7,819,946
ordinary shares, which represents 5.41 per cent of the company's  issued
share capital.
