The  board  of  Hiscox Plc has been notified that Mr Robert  Hiscox  has
today  purchased  4,650 ordinary shares at a price of  147p  per  share.
Following  this purchase his total beneficial shareholding is  7,563,796
ordinary shares, which represents 5.26 per cent of the company's  issued
share capital.
