The Company received notification on 11 June 2001 that Phillips & Drew Life
Limited is interested in a total of 1,233,286 Ordinary Shares representing
3.93 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.  Phillips & Drew Life
Limited is a subsidiary of UBS Asset Management Holding (No.2) Limited which
is also treated as having an interest in the above shares.

This shareholding is registered in the name of Phildrew Nominees Limited.
