After nine years of service, the Board of Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc announces that David Henderson will retire as Chair of the Board (and of the parent company, Benefact Group plc) with effect from 31 December 2025. He will be succeeded by Francois-Xavier Boisseau effective 1st January 2026.

 

Francois-Xavier Boisseau will step down as Senior Independent Director ('SID') with effect from 31st December 2025 and as Chair of the Risk Committee. Jim Coyle will succeed him as SID with effect from 1st January 2026.

 

The Board would like to thank David Henderson for his exceptional service.   During his tenure, Ecclesiastical has grown to become one the UK's most trusted specialist insurers* as well as one of the largest corporate donors* to charity in the UK, recently surpassing its target to give over £250m to good causes, across the UK and overseas.
