1,100 Telecommunications jobs available, says recruitment specialists CPL
Telecoms
Over 1,100 jobs will be created in the telecommunications industry in Dublin
alone this year. These jobs will be worth a total of £30 million according to
research released by CPL Telecoms, the first Irish recruitment company
specialising in meeting the skills needs of the telecommunications industry in
Ireland. CPL Telecoms is part of CPL Resources plc which recently floated on
the Dublin and London Stock Exchanges, was officially launched yesterday by Ms
Mary O'Rourke T.D., Minister for Public Enterprise.
Mr Gerard Doyle, Manager, CPL Telecoms said that 1,180 telecommunications jobs
will be created in Dublin over the coming months with an average salary of
£25,500 per annum. The strong demand is for IT professionals in
telecommunications with over 1/3 of Ireland's telecoms companies reporting big
demand for customer care and billing systems.
The research also shows that 73% of Ireland's telecoms companies use external
contractors. Experienced mobile telecom contractors can command between £2000
- £2500 per week. CPL Telecoms is currently looking for contractors for
clients both in Ireland and Germany.
