                               Directors Dealings


Ms. Josephine Tierney, a Director of CPL has on 7 September 2006 been allotted
40,000 ordinary shares of €0.10 each as a consequence of the exercise of share
options.  Following this allotment, Ms Tierney's shareholding stands at 40,000
ordinary shares of €0.10 each, representing approximately 0.11% of the issued
share capital of CPL.


Mr Garret Roche, a Director of CPL has on 7 September 2006 been allotted 50,000
ordinary shares of €0.10 each as a consequence of the exercise of share options.
This increases his shareholding to 63,912 ordinary shares of €0.10 each,
representing approximately 0.17% of the issued share capital of CPL.


It is anticipated that application will shortly be made to both the Irish Stock
Exchange and to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to the
IEX market of the Irish Stock Exchange and the AIM market of the London Stock
Exchange, respectively.


This notification is made by CPL pursuant to Section 65 of the Companies Act
1990 following receipt of notifications from Ms. Tierney and Mr Roche on 7
September 2006 under Section 53 of the Companies Act 1990 in respect of the
allotments referred to above.
