Celtic plc ("the Company") was notified on 6 December 2011 that Ian Bankier, a non-executive director and Chairman of the Company, had acquired 30,000 Ordinary Shares of 1p each in the capital of the Company, at a price of 35.5 pence per share. The transaction took place on 6 December 2011.

The transaction represents 0.03% of the class and Mr Bankier's total interest, as the beneficial owner, in Ordinary Shares of the Company.
