Management Update

The Board of F&C US Smaller Companies PLC (the "Company") has been informed by F&C Asset Management plc ("F&C"), that Robert Siddles, the Company's portfolio manager, has resigned and is leaving F&C at the end of the year.  The Board's current intention is to serve notice on F&C and to retain the services of Mr Siddles as the Company's investment manager at his new employer.
