Aurora Russia Limited ('ARL'), the AIM-quoted investment vehicle established to make equity or equity related investments in small and mid-sized private companies in Russia, has been notified that, ARL's investment advisor, Aurora Investment Advisors Limited ('AIAL') has acquired the following shares in ARL.

24 April 2009	95,000	18.1p

Following these transactions AIAL holds 7,310,000 shares which represents 9.74 % of Aurora Russia Limited's issued share capital.

James Cook and John McRoberts, Non-Executive Directors of ARL, are deemed to be interested in these shares owing to their ownership of AIAL.
