New director appointment - ASB Bank Limited

 

ASB is pleased to announce that Jim Brown will join the Board of ASB Bank Limited, effective 1 April 2026.

 

Mr Brown is the current Chair of Secure Trust Bank PLC and Non-Executive Director on the Board of Just Group PLC in the United Kingdom. He has previously been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sainsbury's Bank and a member of the Sainsbury's Group Operating Board, CEO at Future Williams & Glyn within The Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS) and CEO, Ulster Bank Group. He held a number of senior appointments within RBS and ABN AMRO in Asia and the Middle East and, earlier in his career, with Citibank and Chase AMP Bank.

 

ASB Chair Dame Therese Walsh said "we are delighted to welcome Jim to the Board. He brings significant international experience in banking and financial services to the role, including skills in governance, capital markets, operational risk and investments."

 

Mr Brown will join existing directors Chair Dame Therese Walsh, Managing Director Vittoria Shortt, Ross Buckley, Rod Carr, Victoria Crone, Juliet Tainui-Hernandez, Mark Verbiest and Nigel Williams on the ASB Board.
