London - Antofagasta plc ("Antofagasta") announces that Mr. Jozsef Ambrus has resigned from the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director as a consequence of his overall business commitments.

Mr. Jean-Paul Luksic, Chairman, said on behalf of the Board, "Jozsef has been a member of the Board since 2005. We would like to thank him for his valuable contribution to Antofagasta over the years and wish him every success for the future."
