Alliance Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Noble as a non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect.

Susan Noble is a Non-Executive Director of British Empire Securities and General Trust PLC and a Committee member of Mencap and of the Hospice of St Francis. She also mentors ex-offenders with St Giles' Trust. Previously, she was Managing Director of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she managed a European team responsible for over $17bn of assets under management. Latterly she set up the Global Equities desk and as Head of Global Equities, grew assets under management to over $7bn. Prior to that she was a Director and Senior European Portfolio Manager at Robert Fleming Asset Management and was responsible for managing The Fleming Continental European Investment Trust PLC.
