MORGAN STANLEY & CO INTERNATIONAL LIMITED'S HOLDING IN SAMPO PLC

Sampo plc (business code 0142213-3) has on 5 April 2007 received a disclosure
under Chapter 2, Section 9 of the Securities Markets Act, according to which
the total number of Sampo A shares and related voting rights owned by Morgan
Stanley (reg.nr.2068222) has on 4 April 2007 decreased below one twentieth (1/
20) of Sampo plc's entire stock and voting rights.
