The estimated un-audited net asset value, calculated in accordance with the
guidelines of the Association of Investment Companies, for Finsbury Growth &
Income Trust PLC at the close of business on 20 August 2008 was 233.04p (ex
income) 237.73p (cum income).

The estimated un-audited net asset value, assuming the reissue of all of the
1,595,750 shares currently held in treasury, at the closing mid-market share
price on 20 August 2008 was 232.62p(ex income) 237.16p (cum income).
