Augean North Limited - HMRC - Deferral of Payment
Augean, one of the UK's leading specialist waste management businesses, has today received agreement from HMRC to the deferment of the payment of tax assessed under the Augean North Limited final tax assessment previously announced until the outcome of the tax tribunal has concluded.
As previously announced, the Board still believes that this assessment is without merit and maintains its position based on the legal advice received and independent reviews of the Group's systems. The Company continues to take all appropriate legal channels to challenge the assessment received.
