As required under the Prospectus (Directive 2003/71/EC) Regulations 2005 and
paragraph 5.2 of the Prospectus Rules, and following publication of the Annual
Report on 19 June 2006, N Brown Group plc (NBG) is presenting its first Annual
Information Update (AIU) in relation to information that has been published or
made available to the public between 1 June 2005 and 19 June 2006.

NBG is publishing the AIU via an RIS today and it will be available in the
Investor section of our website: To avoid an
unnecessarily lengthy document, information is referred to in this AIU rather
than included in full.
