                                 BOARD CHANGES

De Vere Group PLC announces the appointment of Matthew Fearn as Group Finance
Director. He will join De Vere in November. He succeeds Roger Stubbs who will
retire at the end of the year. Roger Stubbs has been Finance Director since
December 1999 and joined the group in 1979.

Matthew Fearn joins De Vere Group with an excellent track record in the hotel
and leisure sector, having held numerous senior finance roles within Whitbread
plc, most recently as Corporate Finance Director. Prior to this, he was Finance
Director of David Lloyd Leisure.

Peter Daresbury, Chairman, said: "We are delighted that Matthew Fearn is joining
De Vere at such a key stage in its progression. I am sure Matthew's significant
sector and financial experience will prove invaluable in helping to deliver on
our strategic objectives."
