Thrive Renewables Plc - Annual Results for the period ended 31 December 2025
Acquisition of new projects, repowering and life extension works set to lock in company’s environmental and social impact for the next 30 years.
Renewable energy investment company, Thrive Renewables plc, is pleased to share its annual results for the period ended 31 December 2025.
Financial highlights:
- Operating profit of £3.6 million (£11.3 million in 2024) and a turnover of £21 million (£26 million in 2024).
- £20.2 million in cash allocated to develop new clean energy projects.
- Raised £2.5 million in crowdfunded capital in 2025, followed by a further £5 million bond raise in Q2 2026.
- Recommended final dividend of 12p per share for 2025, for approval at AGM in June and to be paid in July 2026*.
Matthew Clayton, Chief Executive Officer of Thrive Renewables, said:
“As expected, electricity prices decreased in 2025, meaning profits for the year returned to pre-energy crisis levels in line with forecasts. 2025 saw us put the building blocks in place to continue growing our environmental and social impact in the years to come. In fact, we already have the projects we need to fulfil our growth ambition to double generation capacity by 2028. We acquired our first owned, ground mount solar farm, which had a particularly productive summer generating clean power for UK homes and business, and have several other milestone projects in development. This includes our largest project to date, the 57MW Whitelaw Brae wind farm in Scotland, which will be constructed by the end of the year. We remain resolutely focused on accelerating the roll out of new clean energy projects to reduce bills, create new green jobs and end the UK’s reliance on imported fossil fuels.”
Operational highlights:
- Operational portfolio of 23 wind, solar and hydro projects generated over 134,000 MWh of clean electricity and delivered emissions reductions equivalent to 64,343 tCO₂e.
- The company’s largest project to date – a 57MW wind farm in the Scottish Borders – is in construction, with a further 25.1MW of wind in development.
- Acquired a 10MW ground mount solar farm in Essex, which began operations in summer 2025.
- A 2.5MW community wind turbine in Kilbirnie which Thrive funded via Community Energy Catalyst, its joint venture with Better Society Capital, also now operational. The project is owned by local community group, Attix CIC.
- Alongside building and acquiring new projects, Thrive is actively pursuing life extension and repowering opportunities across its older sites, including several wind repowering projects totalling over 50MW and all aiming to begin construction in the next three years. This includes the repowering of the Burgar Hill wind site in Orkney, working with the local landowner to breathe fresh life into a pioneering testbed for onshore wind in the UK.
