UK economy grew 0.6% in third quarter as expected

UK gross domestic product grew by 0.6% in the third quarter, according to a first estimate by the Office for National Statistics. The growth rate, up from 0.4% growth in the second quarter, was in line with market expectations. GDP in the month of September, however, was flat, below expectations of 0.1% growth.
