TClarke sees 2018 profit rising despite weaker revenue

By BFN News | 02:13 PM | Friday 18 May, 2018

Building services group TClarke said it expected to post an increase in profit this year despite a slide in revenue. Pre-tax profit in calendar 2018 was expected to amount to £7.0m, on revenue £300m, the company said. Last year, the company booked an underlying pre-tax profit of £6.5m, on revenue of £311.2m. At 30 April, the company's forward order book stood at £368m, up from £337m at 31 December. 'Encouragingly, we are seeing no lack of opportunities, but we maintain a strict policy only to bid for projects that meet our internal risk analysis and where we are comfortable with the covenant and market reputation of the contractual counterparty,' TClarke said.
