Symphony Environmental revenue up 11% in first half

Symphony Environmental Technologies said it expected to post an 11% rise in first-half revenue, due to increased sales of its anti-microbial technologies. Revenue for the six months through June rose to £4.1m, even as sales of its d2w oxo-biodegradable technologies were flat at £3.6m. Revenues from the anti-microbial technologies increased significantly to £0.5m, from nothing on-year. The company said d2w oxo-biodegradable were hit by a weaker pound, with sales up 11% on a constant currency basis. Sales and marketing spend increased by around £0.2m in the first half, in line with management expectations. 'The second half of the year has started well and the board are confident the group will meet full-year market expectations,' Symphony Environmental said. Story provided by
