By BFN News | 07:36 AM | Monday 12 June, 2017

Sound Energy has confirmed the start of operations to re-enter and test the Koba-1 well at its Sidi Moktar licence, onshore Morocco, and also provided a further update on the drilling of the Badile exploration well, onshore Italy. SIDI MOKTAR Sound Energy said operations would include the perforation and testing of the Lower Liassic and a potential testing of the Argovian. The total operation was expected to take about 10 days, after which the rig would move to the Kamar-1 well for the second stage of the operation, as announced on 17 May 2017. The Sidi Moktar licences covered 2700 sq km in the Essaouira basin, central Morocco, and were close to existing infrastructure and gas demand, including the large scale Moroccan state owned OCP Phosphate plant. BADILE The company confirmed that drilling continued successfully at the Badile exploration well, which had reached a measured depth of 4328m within the Medolo Formation. Drilling continued towards the reservoir, which the company expected to penetrate, after setting a 7-inch liner just above the pay zone, later this month. Story provided by
